Zari

The company was founded in the 1930s as the Raspollini winery by the grandfather of the current owner and is based in Poggibonsi via Sardelli. At the start, activities ranged from bottling to packaging and trade of the finished product. The winery supplied most of the Italian peninsula, including the army.
In the first post-war period, the company changed its name to become the Zari Dino winery; Zari was the son-in-law of Commendator Raspollini. Unfortunately, due to the bombings during the Second World War, it had to be completely rebuilt.

Thanks to their dedication and devotion to their work, the Zari and Raspollini families have conquered a large slice of the domestic wine market but also have expanded greatly internationally, thus becoming one of the most prestigious and renowned wineries in Chianti.
