This beautiful winery is located in the DOC Montecucco area, between the DOCG Brunello di Montalcino and the DOCG Morellino di Scansano.
Vines: 80% Sangiovese 20% Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot
Origin: Vineyards Poggio, Cerretina, Laghetto, Pinetina
Soil: Clay and calcareous, with pebbles
Exposure: hilly south -southwest
Altitude: 330-350 m above sea level
Density: 5600 vines / hectare
System: cordon spur
Yield: 70 quintals / hectare
Vinification: Grapes are manually collected between september and October, according to the maturation of different varieties. Rasps are taken away, and the wine ferments at controlled temperature of 22-25°C and it rests for 20 days on the skins.
Aging: It matures for two years on its fine leeds, while a small part rests for 12 months in oak barrels.
Alcohol content: 13%
