Lazzeretti

Lazzartti Winery has been in business since 1998, located at Podere Canchi, below Montalcino, in northern Siena. The first vineyard was planted in 1981 by Marco and Lucia’s grandfather, Pietro Bastiani. In 1998, when Marco had finished his military service, his grandfather asked him if he would like to take over the estate; overcoming his initial doubts, Marco agreed. At that time, there was only 1 hectare of planted vines, so in 1998 he planted another 4 hectares of vineyards; the first grape harvest was in 2001. The soil is described as “tufaceo argilloso ricco in scheletro”.

Lazzartti offers an array of wines, including Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino, and Brunello di Montalcino Riserva.
